There has been a lot of media on the food industry recently. These films can't help but make you think about our food sources. I think they are very educational and should be required viewing. Here are short clips of 3 that I have seen.
Check out:
Super Size Me
Food, Inc.
King Corn
What are your favorite food films?
I have watched all three of those films in their entirety, and I must say that Food,Inc is my fave....with King Corn coming in a very close second :) Although its necessary to remember that the films are biased, but they still provide loads of info that is overlooked by everyday media. Thanks for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteI remember feeling nauseous after watching supersize me. I mostly gave up fast food after that, though I still have occasional visits to Taco Bell. I know, shame on me.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is FatHead....it has a lot of great info but it is more of an expose of the food industry politics than Supersize Me.

Heading to the library tomorrow to look for FatHead and a few others. Also, looking forward to Jaime Olivers Food Revolution season 2 starting on Tuesday, April 12th on ABC! If you get a chance, tune in or DVR it and let me know what you think!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen any of those! I missed out on SuperSizeMe in the movies... it pretty much came and went in my neck of the woods. I've been meaning to catch up with it on dvd but Video Rental places have been closing left and right around here! :s
